If the state in the coming time decides that "misgendering" should be illegal, then let it stand clear that I have said my opinion loudly and plainly.
I cannot leave my child, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a society where they must look back at me and ask -
"Why didn't you say something? Why were you silent when truth was sold out, and rights began to disappear?"
I would rather be shamed now than stay silent and be judged by history later.
And although I have written exhaustively in many posts these recent years, let me summarise all the points here. Then you can share it if you find that it also represents your position.
1. Sex is biology.
The human is created in two versions. Male and female. This is not a question of feelings, moods or fashion - but of body, genes, hormones, anatomy. Rare biological anomalies exist, yes. But they do not create a third sex - they only confirm that nature is normally binary. These anomalies are moreover often unable to reproduce - contrary to life's purpose.
To claim otherwise is like saying that because some children are born without an arm, there must exist a third sex - "the one-armed". It is absurd.
This observation is not a dismissal of this anomaly's existence - but an expression that they are born Human, with exactly the same worth as everyone else.
2. Identity is psychology.
How one experiences oneself can be complex, painful, confusing. I both understand and fully acknowledge that some feel trapped in the wrong body. I understand that there can lie lifelong suffering behind it. But psychological experiences do not change biological facts.
That a man feels like a woman does not make him a woman. That a woman feels like a man does not make her a man. It makes her or him a human being who needs help, understanding and support - and I wish to live in a reality where people who suffer, from unclear causes that lie far beyond normal identity problems, receive the very best help and support for this - but it is and remains identity and psychological - NOT a new biological reality.
3. Law is administration, not reality.
We can change CPR numbers, passports and sex in the law's registers. But paper, lawyers, judges, agencies or prime ministers cannot change the biological body.
No law in the world can make a man pregnant, change a human's chromosomes or make a woman capable of producing spermatozoa.
The law can adapt the system to the individual's experience - but it can never create reality.
Like everything else, it is subject to biological reality.
4. Politeness is voluntary - not coercion.
I can easily call a person by the name and the words they wish. If it makes interaction easier, I can say "she" about a biological man. Call him Ida or her Frank, if they ask me to - and I perceive their intention with it is good. That is not where the problem lies.
The problem for me - and for you - begins when the state says -
"If you do not say what we command you must, you will be punished."
Then the language is no longer mine. Then it is not something I do out of respect, but out of obedience and fear of punishment.
...And when the state first has the right to dictate language, then it also has the right to dictate what we call reality.
Insert the party you least care for - I will not interfere with who that is for you - at the top of power. And imagine that they must decide your language.
That is what it opens for.
5. Trans-ideology is built-in self-contradiction.
On the one hand it says - "Sex is a social construction, it is fluid, it exists only in culture."
On the other hand - "I am born in the wrong body - I must change my biology to become myself."
But if sex is just a social construction, why must the body then be cut open? Why must hormones and fertility be sacrificed? Risk of underdeveloped and weak bones introduced?
Either the body - THUS BIOLOGY - means something - or it does not.
You cannot have both at once.
And in the same way -
"No one can define my sex except myself."
But the entire movement is built on demanding that ALL others must define you, precisely as you say.
If sex is only yours, why must the entire society then be forced to repeat it after you?
The series of contradictions that exclude each other is overwhelming in the low-resolution thought material that lies at the foundation. And therefore - as it always is with ideologies not based on Truth - the only way to maintain the illusion is with demands for submission through introduction of law and punishment.
6. When "woman" is made into a costume, women's rights are undermined.
If "being a woman" is reduced to a question of feeling it - of taking a name, a pronoun or a set of clothes - and then "one is a woman" - then we dilute the entire struggle that women have fought for decades for their rights.
Women have fought for equality, suffrage, protection against violence, for the right to their own spaces, sports and representation. All of this rests on the biological fact that woman is something specific - and something OTHER than man.
When we make "woman" an identity one can put on like a costume, these rights dissolve. Suddenly men can enter women's spaces, compete in their sports, demand place in their communities - and simultaneously demand that the women themselves acknowledge it as truth.
Anyone who has a daughter, a wife or a mother... should assess what this means for them.
7. A law against 'misgendering' is a gateway to forced speech.
And this is where it becomes truly dangerous and my actual concern is. For if we first make it punishable to speak the truth, then we have accepted that the state - and whoever this group sympathises with or is misled by - may define which words we use - and thereby which reality we may describe.
Then the door stands wide open to introduce all sorts of other commands about what you must say, and which truths you must not mention. And cases and subjects one has desire to regulate these years are unfortunately increasing.
In the beginning it may only hit a few. And perhaps you agree with what I write about here. But the pendulum always swings back. And sooner or later you stand there yourself - with words stuck in your mouth you do not wish to say, and a truth you no longer may utter.
8. Truth sets us free.
It is the repeated human pattern. The cornerstone of the Western world and civilisation. A recognition that contributed to the establishment of freedom of speech. The human cannot live in lies. Our structure is not built to bear it. We become sick from it - first in the soul, then in the mind and then in the body. But truth - even when it is hard, even when it hurts - it liberates us.
Truth is our best anchor in reality.
Therefore it is the individual's task to live in truth. Even if one would wish it were different. Not just for our own sake, but for the sake of those who come after us.
So I say it now, while I still can -
To force people to call a man a woman or a woman a man is not care. It is not respect. It is not love.
It is Lies.
And a civilisation that builds its laws on lies initiates with fanfare its own demise.
Because lies always fall.

And to you, who sit thinking condescendingly - "Easy now, Thomas - it will probably pass by itself."
Yes, it will probably pass. I am not in doubt about that either. The question is just - What will the price be - and how long will it take?
For we have seen it all before, most recently in the last century - The political correctness that became systematic lies. The lies that became anti-human laws. The laws that became ideology and control. The ideology that became prisons, confinement, fear - and millions of people who had their rights and their lives taken from them under Communism's chains and horrors. It cost far too much. And it took far too long to reverse.
To my taste. You can of course disagree with that, and think the price paid was fine. Each must reckon with themselves.
But we are now over 50 years into the pendulum's movement in one direction. And have ended in a dissolution of biological and scientific reality. It will take decades to swing it back again.
So my question to you is -
How much further out do you think we should go?
