Two bodies of work, and they are not the same thing.

The Word
One Word, many voices.
One set of words. Recorded again and again, in rooms that could not be more different - and that is the whole point.
We tell ourselves we weigh what is said. We do not. We weigh how it arrives. The same sentence lands as truth in one arrangement and as embarrassment in another, and almost nobody notices that the sentence never changed. Form does not carry the content. Most of the time it stands in front of it.
Play them against each other and you can hear yourself deciding - not about the words, but about the room. That is the experiment. The words hold still so you can watch what you do to them.
Four rooms are open. Four or five more are being built, and they appear here as they open.

Thomas Finn
Original material. Recorded at last.
These songs are old. Most were written long before there was any way to record them the way they sounded in my head - a room full of players I did not have, an arrangement I could hear and could not reach.
So they waited. Not because they were unfinished, but because the distance between what a song is and what one man with a guitar can put on tape was too wide to cross.
That distance closed. What you hear is not a demo rescued and cleaned up. It is the arrangement that was always there, finally audible - the same notes, written when they were written, now carried by everything the song was asking for.
Nothing here is generated instead of composed. The writing is old. Only the room is new.
Same composer. Two rooms.
