There is something about a song that makes no demands.
You put it on Friday evening in the summer sun when you're off work - and everything is just about enjoying life.
You put it on when the road goes towards sunset and further into darkness together with the one you love.
You put it on at the table, with a cold drink and a grilled steak, while the day closes.
You don't really notice what you're actually listening to.
It's the meaning but this version here.
Under the light, something ancient has been laid in - in the harmonic movement, in the words carried by them, in the omissions and the emphasis of others. Of intimacy and the air on the voice. It's not hidden to be hard to find. But hidden, because it only makes sense when the ear has already said "yes".
This is the easiest way in. The most accessible version of two handfuls of songs I've spent the last nine months on.
Everything that comes after this will be a bit harder to listen to. Not because the content changes. But because the form does.
Not less cool.
But differently cool.
You can listen to them here anywhere - if you're Christian especially - but also if you're a believer, in the sense that you believe there is other and more in Life - between Heaven and Earth - that is greater than you. You live with. And in. And through.
I have written, written lyrics and produced them all.
Krisztina has sorted hundreds of versions over the months for me - and for you.
Because underneath the productions there is hidden a frequency of something... that we'll talk about later. And she's good at sensing that.
Listen to them. Remix them. Chop them up. Hack them to pieces, and put them back together in your own way. Play them in contexts that make sense - and in contexts that don't at all.
They're not made to stand fixed in one form. I'll show you how, in the subsequent versions coming in the next days and weeks.
