After yesterday brought the confusion between charity and socialism into sharp focus, my mind hasn't quite let go. Something keeps gnawing. Something many don't see - or perhaps don't want to see.
Something I myself was LONG in seeing - long in recognizing and acknowledging.
Namely how deeply Marxism and communism have imperceptibly infiltrated our culture, our language, and our understanding of the world.
It might sound distant. Like something that died with the fall of the Berlin Wall.
But nothing could be further from the truth.
The ideological traces live on - just in new clothes. And I find that very many struggle to distinguish between what is human compassion and what is strategic deconstruction. What is love - and what is ideology pretending to be goodness.
So I continue drawing the lines, as long as some of you get something from it.
I'm not writing this to annoy or provoke anyone - or to win or find new enemies. I write because I'm interested in Truth. What is True. With a capital T. The patterns that weave and form what we call Reality - which we live together in. So we can better see it and navigate within it.
Here goes.
Perhaps you've noticed it yourself.
It doesn't just seem like Western societies are polarizing these years. It seems like they're dissolving.
Groups that once stood united are being split into smaller and smaller pieces. New identities. New victims. New battles.
Everything becomes a "for or against" matter - painted in the media as something you MUST have an opinion about.
And it all suddenly feels vital - even when it's actually a distraction.
To some of you, particularly the older generation, it might seem like we've simply gotten bad at agreeing.
That we have too many opinions. Too much information. Too little shared culture.
But the truth is darker - and more deliberate.
What we're experiencing is the culmination of 80 years of ideological demolition, orchestrated by a system that was never cleaned out when we "won" the Second World War.
We struck down Nazism - a dark demon that had risen.
But to be able to do this, we united with another and at least equally dark demon - communism - to accomplish it.
And therefore we never had the reckoning we should have had.
With Marxism, with totalitarian ideology, with the fundamental idea that the human being is something you can re-educate, program, and design politically correct through the state and language.
Communism lost the cold war in the East - but it survived in the West in spirit and institutions. In the universities. In the media. In the ministries. In art. In pedagogy.
We won the war against Nazism, but we invited communism home from the battlefield. The Soviets were our necessary allies, and therefore their worldview received a moral free pass in Western institutions. Instead of a Nuremberg trial of thought, we got scholarships, professorships, and editorial offices filled with people who simply exchanged their Marxist worker's uniform for tweed jackets and critical theory.
The economic class struggle died quietly, because capitalism actually delivered prosperity. So the ideology shifted battlegrounds - from the factory to culture, from wages to identity. And from here the deconstruction began point by point.
First history.
Colonialism and patriarchy were made into universal explanations, so the entire Western narrative could be written as permanent guilt.
Then language.
Words like "mother", "man", "citizen" were stamped as power structures that must be dissolved to "liberate" us.
Next the body.
Biology is called social construction, while feelings get legal status. A society that cannot define what a child or a woman is cannot defend them either.
Finally faith.
God is declared dead, but the state and corporation rise as new theology. A technocratic savior that promises security in exchange for total access to, surveillance of, and regulation of your life.
What you see today - gender chaos, identity politics, race ideology, victim culture, dissolution of nation states and elevation of weakness - has not arisen by mistake.
It is cultural Marxism in practice.
It is the old class struggle transformed into an identity and culture struggle, where everything that once bound us together must be made suspect, problematic, "structurally oppressive".
Everything must be deconstructed. Everything must be made fluid. Nothing may stand firm.
For a people without common language, common history, common sex, common God - is a people that cannot rise together.
What is happening is not pluralism. It is not tolerance. It is systematic fragmentation.
And when you ask: "Why can we no longer agree on anything?"
Then the answer (unfortunately) is -
Because that's actually the entire point.
If we want out of the grip, it requires first saying the words aloud - without apology.
Truth is not relative.
Sex is not negotiation.
History is not a stain of shame - but a foundation.
It is not God who has disappeared - it is our ability to sense and honor the sacred that has been numbed and undermined.
Insert yourself the many areas of existence and society where the world has been turned upside down in recent decades - because feelings are placed above facts.
Only when we dare to dig our heels in and refuse to glide along can we again speak of a common future.
Otherwise the dissolution will be completed, and we end up as history's footnote...
The civilization that was promised everything, but in the end refused to be anything at all.
That is the choice before us - and it can, when you count the pressure from all sides, seem as though time is short.
