In remembrance of October 7th.
The totalitarian forces must not be allowed to sink Europe.
There exist forces that desire one thing above all else - to crush Western freedom to death.
They threaten, they frighten, they expel - and they hunt those who live openly as Jews in our cities.
This is not abstract.
But all too real.
It is children who hesitate to wear a kippah. It is the elderly who lock their door one time too many. It is congregations that require guards and fences to be able to pray in peace. It is people who think - 'can I stay here with my children?'
The totalitarian forces of our time come in different disguises - from Islamist groups that punish deviation of thought and submit to legal systems without rule of law, to ideologies on the left or right wing that use expulsion, subversion, threats and physical pressure to suffocate disagreement.
When coercion becomes legitimate - when they rise up and march beneath banners in our streets - then Freedom's days are numbered.
And here you and I must understand something utterly central -
What the totalitarian virus does to the brain - the inflamed state it puts it in - never stops with the Jews.
That is merely the beginning!
When they have been cleared away - it always continues onward toward its final destination.
Islamism demands submission, until all live on their knees before a false god who tolerates no questions.
Communism demands submission, until all live on their knees before a deranged equality ideology that calls lies truth until everything is leveled.
Fascism demands submission, until all live on their knees before a blood intoxication of race and nation that permits no deviation.
It is the same disease in three forms.
And the final destination is always the same -
When you challenge their LIE, the punishment is death.
In the labour camp. In the shadow of the gallows. In a nameless grave.
History is crystal clear.
Challenge Islamism's dogmas, you risk death sentence or lynching. Challenge Communism's party line, you end up in the gulag - or disappear in silence. Challenge fascism, you stand before the rifle barrel.
The result of that way of threatening one's way to consent we already see - antisemitism rises, violence follows, and insecurity spreads. Hundreds, thousands of incidents across Europe - and ordinary Jews are left standing there asking whether their home is still theirs.
This is utterly and completely unacceptable.
This is NOT Europe.
This is NOT the Western world.
And this is CERTAINLY NOT Denmark.
It is something else.
And it must be challenged - until it crawls back into the Darkness from which it came.
So let me say it without any circumlocution -
The Jews are not the problem. They are victims of a totalitarian logic that always searches for scapegoats when power falters. And to accept claims like the ones I am beginning to hear - that "it costs too much to protect them"… that is to betray the very foundation of our civilisation - community, justice and freedom.
And it is not merely to betray them - it is to betray ourselves.
So to you, who are an ordinary person - who wishes to be neither Islamist, Communist nor fascist - it is urgently necessary to understand - if you wish to preserve and defend what has been handed down to us -
If we let fear win, then totalitarianism has already done its work - it has already gotten us to fall silent.
This we, as freedom-oriented people, must refuse! And NEVER accept.
Stand up. Speak loudly. Protect those who are being attacked. Call it out for what it is.
For a Europe that does not defend its minorities has already lost the right to call itself free.
Therefore the struggle for Jewish safety is not only their struggle.
It is ours.
For once totalitarianism has driven the Jews to flight, the next step is the rest of us.
NO ONE goes free when the Darkness advances.
So.
Rise up. Let us walk peacefully together - and shine like sparks in straw.
