Someone wrote in a comment, asking if he should now listen to whining from the right wing for four years, now that the new government had been formed.
I sat thinking about that while I ate dinner.
And you know what. It would actually surprise me if they last four years.
But should they against expectations make it that far, then by that time we will at least have the following on the list -
The Red-Green Alliance delivers two or three group-sex scandals from a collective in Nørrebro, where a friendly hand placed on a colleague's back escalates into a multi-year internal process about power structures, violations, and unspoken privileges. The case is further complicated by the fact that they have simultaneously decided that gender does not exist, and that men can perfectly well give birth to children - which makes it difficult to determine who is the victim, who is the violator, and whether there is even a patriarchy left to accuse. Half the party accuses the other half of racism, the other half responds with Islamophobia, and in the end the most intersectional are excluded for not having listened enough to the marginalised. The whole thing is decided at a general meeting that lasts nine hours and ends without conclusion.
The Social Liberals, on the other hand, spend the entire period on pronouns. First a case about a wrong "he" that costs a spokesperson their position. Then a mandatory course in gender-inclusive language for all employees. And finally the establishment of an entire secretariat whose sole task is to correct people. Meanwhile they explain from the cargo bike that they know better than you - not to be condescending, but simply because they are. They are right about everything and lose seats at every election - and never quite understand the connection.
The Social Democrats manage to declare seven or eight national states of emergency, each time with the end of the world as the only alternative to doing exactly as Mette says. A couple of them later turn out to lack legal basis, but we only discover this after all the country's golden retrievers have been put down via text message. The conclusion is the same every time - the State must have more power, the citizen less - and it is of course for your own safety's sake. Near the end of the period, Arne gets yet another cheque dangled in front of him. If only he votes correctly one more time.
Løkke continues from day one on the wind turbine lobby's tab and along the way reaches at least two new expense scandals - one of them about an amount so specific and so embarrassing that no one believes it is real. A weekend, a case of wine, and a receipt that should never have been saved. When the seats begin to seep away, he starts buying his own people's positions free, as if it were a transfer window in the SuperLiga - a consultancy agreement here, a board position there, financed by the same turbines already paying for the party. "Broad gathering around the centre" turns out to mean where the wind - and the sponsors - happen to blow strongest. In the end he has bought up so many seats that the party is exactly as large as the number of people named Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
SF continues its proud tradition of being right about precisely nothing. They got us out of nuclear power, so we now pay eight times as much for electricity as the rest of the world - and do not have watt enough left on the grid to say yes if a foreign company against expectations should happen to want to invest here. They also wanted us out of NATO, right up until the Russians kindly reminded us why we went in. And when the Wall fell, they still stood there explaining that the Eastern Bloc was really just "misunderstood". That position has however been taken over by the Red-Green Alliance. But don't worry - on the next big decision they are absolutely certain they are right - as Villy was with "the melding pøwls" - again.
In short.
If they last the period.
They will surely find ways to pass the time.

While this vanity circus goes on, the rest of us can speculate on why once again from that side of the chamber they have written "Denmark is a Christian country" out of the government platform.
For it is not an addition - it is a resignation.
A resignation from the Western world. From the world all our freedom, law and enlightenment grew up out of.
You do not build on top by tearing the foundation away. You cut the roots and rise from the driver's seat. And that seat never stays empty.
It is taken over by what still believes unshakably in itself and has a ready plan for the rest.
In 2026 there is NO force besides Islam - that knows this.
So.
Whether they say it or not.
Whether they will stand by it or not.
Whether they can see it or not.
And whether they believe it or not.
That is what you applaud in, when you remove the foundation everything stands on.
Islam knows it well.
They are just waiting.
And they have all the time in the world.
