TRUTH
Or Reality, as we used to call it.
…
In the beginning was Reality.
And Reality was Good, because it was True.
Nature - God's first and unaltered scripture - was the law Man had to read with the body, not with words.
For three hundred thousand years, Nature was the corrective force for Man.
She did not forgive, but she did not lie either. She held man within the boundaries of Truth with a stern, but just hand.
Go against the Order and you will feel the consequence.
Go with it and you will flourish.
All Life - human, animal, tribe, culture - was weighed by nature's relentless precision.
Error, laziness, pride, overconsumption - all was corrected.
Hunger, cold, sickness, ruin... if you strayed from the Law.
But also - strength, harmony, beauty, abundance... when one lived rightly.
This was the First Covenant.
The Holy Covenant between Man and Reality.
A covenant that taught Man that Truth - that is, Reality - cannot be bent, only recognized.
When we became capable of more than survival, another urge emerged. A holy longing to express Truth, not merely obey it.
So we painted it on the cliff wall. We sang it in the darkness. We built temples, raised pillars and created stories. All to remember and align ourselves with the Order we felt in nature, in the stars and in ourselves.
The art we created, the religions we inscribed, the myths, the legends and instructions - none of this was entertainment. It was all forms of compass. Humanity's first tentative attempts to create mirrors toward the eternal.
The stories were images of Truth. Of the tension field between inner and outer Reality. Inner and outer Truth.
None of them were perfect. But they all strove - with the limited faculties Man has been given - to capture and pass it on between generations. The purpose was to keep the soul's eye directed toward the source. Toward Logos. The divine pattern behind all living things - Truth. The realest reality.
Every period that lost connection to this axis fell.
Because one cannot - unpunished - turn against Reality for very long without consequences.
When man mistakes his own reflection for God's, dissolution begins. When we attempt to be God, the Creative Principle becomes distorted - and that which should align and orient us toward Light and Truth begins instead to destroy us... and everything around us.
Hard cut forward to today...
Today we have stepped out of Nature. We have abolished her as teacher and appointed ourselves gods over matter.
We believe we can correct reality with technology, ideology, statistics and therapy. We attempt to rewrite nature - that is, Reality - as if it were software, and don't seem to understand that it is we ourselves being rewritten in the attempt.
Where we once mirrored ourselves in nature, we now mirror ourselves in screens wherever we turn. Billions of glowing windows, where one increasingly distorted face after another tells us who we should be. How we should be. How we should live. What Truth is...
We have turned our backs on the real world and now stand in an infinite hall of mirrors staring at ourselves.
Morning-TV hosts, psychologists, influencers, politicians, journalists, advertisements, talk shows and an endless line of "experts" - all trying to proclaim their interpretation of Reality. All trying - knowingly or unknowingly - to be the corrective image of Reality. Of Truth.
But these images are not corrective as nature was... or as our attempts to illustrate the divine and the ideal in earlier times, which we were meant to orient ourselves toward and align with, were...
Instead they are seductive. They flatter, they frighten, they promise and they lure.
But they do not form soul. Instead they shape our minds. They do not train our character... they are only interested in triggering reactions.
The spirit of the age has seduced us into staring, day and night, at the image of fallen man - at delusions, easy diagnoses, errors and conscious lies that we try to use as structure, support and mirror - solely because we no longer remember what Truth feels like.
And it is not doing us good.
Quite the opposite.
Modern man suffers under a loss it does not itself understand - because no one has explained over the last five decades that when the connection to Truth disappears, the soul loses its reference point... until everything flows and everything is relativized in order to endure living in the Lie.
And once the Lie has us, we begin searching for something... anything... that can feel like Truth - intensity, emotions, fear, control. All the classic deception and darkness that has repeatedly corrupted man and toppled his world.
And this is where the new gods arise - ideologies, screens, likes, diagnoses, identity politics, climate anxiety, eight thousand genders and sectarian morality.
Parasitic expressions of a soul missing its source.
We try to rediscover the old correction - Reality - through social media, experts and experts' experts.
But Truth cannot be conveyed as information.
It can only be experienced, lived, felt through its direct and merciless pressure on us. And that was precisely what nature taught us.
And that is what is so difficult for modern man to understand. So difficult to accept and recognize.
That Truth is not a theory. Is not personal. Cannot be rewritten. Does not move or change.
Truth.
It is.
A Living Law, an Order that applies to everything from the atom's orbit to the soul's salvation. When we live in harmony with it, we grow. When we go against it, we suffer.
And right now we are suffering. As a species, as a culture, as humans. Because we have replaced Truth with interpretations, images, manipulation, spin and sometimes outright lies.
But there is Hope - because Truth cannot die.
It can be repressed, but it cannot be erased.
It waits.
In nature.
In the body.
In the silence.
In the old stories.
In the Word that still sounds, if we dare to hear.
Finding one's way back to Truth is not an intellectual project - it is not about knowledge or theory. Because one cannot think one's way to it.
Truth calls for something deeper - a moral and spiritual courage to see Reality as it is, however uncomfortable and confronting it may be.
That we see Nature again, not as resource, but as revelation. That we feel what is real, living, holy.
He who lives in Truth needs no surveillance, no control, no ideology. He is free - The Free Man - because he is in covenant with what is.
Truth does not merely free from lies - it frees from fear, from deception, from darkness. Because it is God himself - the eternal, unchangeable, all-bearing reality.
"I am the way, the truth and the life" he said - the Son - when he walked around here on earth as Man.
It was not ownership - it was a call home. A reminder that Truth is not found in the images, but in the light behind them. In the silence, where that which is greater than us - that which created everything - the Father - still speaks.
And in our midst - unseen but living - the Holy Spirit moves. Like the breath in all that lives.
Like the voice reminding us of what we once knew. Like the fire that reignites the connection between Man and God.
Because Truth is not merely words, it is Spirit.
And he who lets the Spirit speak in him walks no longer in darkness - but in the Light where all things came to be.
In the Beginning.
