We are standing in the middle of a kind of war in Europe - a war against farming, against farmers, and against meat.

Narrow-shouldered pale climate-anxious ideologues and city-dwellers without soil under their nails are trying to demonise meat and dismantle what has given humanity strength and health for thousands of years.

Meat is not the problem - meat is the solution.

When we look at what our bodies are built for, we see that meat is the primary source of healthy nutrition, strength and resilience.

Let me list freely from memory -

Red meat provides all the essential amino acids in the right proportions that the body needs to build muscle, tissue and hormones. No plants can match that.

Iron from meat (heme iron) is absorbed far better than from plants. Zinc is crucial for immune defence, wound healing and testosterone production.

Vitamin B12 is only found naturally in animal sources and is critical for the nervous system, blood cells and energy metabolism.

Red meat delivers choline and omega-3 fatty acids (but remember fish or supplement!), which support brain function and development.

Calories from meat are full of micronutrients that help maintain testosterone, strengthen muscles and keep you robust in body and mind - ESPECIALLY if you strength train on top of it!

And because it's so rich in protein, it keeps you full longer and reduces the urge to overeat and snack because it stabilises your blood sugar.

They - whoever they are - who control the narrative want us to believe we'll be saved by removing meat and replacing it with factory-made plant products and laboratory inventions with a nutritional profile like soft-serve ice cream.

But anyone with five ounces of common sense knows that meat is fundamental. It's what our ancestors ate to survive and thrive.

Hard work in the fields and healthy Danish food - led to healthy broad-shouldered Danish men and buxom Danish women.

We are told, by people with mirror-blank stares, that meat is the enemy of the climate.

But the truth is that the most sustainable and regenerative forms of agriculture precisely involve animals. When animals graze on fields and meadows, they keep the landscape alive, bind carbon in the soil and create biodiversity. It's not the meat that destroys nature - it's industrial greed and a deranged system that has lost its connection to the earth and forgotten what it means to be human, wanting us to switch to suboptimal products - that taste like...

We face an ideological offensive that wants to cut the bonds to our roots and nature. They want to replace the farmer's earth-bound wisdom with the laboratory's artificial substitutes. And the insane war against meat is the war against everything that makes us strong, healthy and free.

And it must stop. One should spend 17 seconds reading up on our shared history, every single time someone from the top of a society begins wanting to dictate what people should eat - regardless of whether it's only through the current method, where they marginalise it by making it so expensive that more and more won't be able to afford it.

And let's also just address the idea of "cutting down on meat" for health's sake.

Let's be brutally honest here, friends.

The Western world's diet IS a problem.
But not because of the meat.

You don't even need research to see it - take a trip to a shopping centre or to Legoland, and you'll see the results of our sedentary, over-caloric culture with hyperprocessed rubbish food.

The problem is not meat - it's the calorie-dense and nutrient-poor things we stuff in our mouths, far too many times a day, without thinking about the body.

If you really want to do something for your health, don't cut down on meat. Cut down on all the crap that you know full well you're eating. And yes, you know perfectly well what that is.

Out with it - in with fresh ingredients.

So.

Let them just shout about the planet and climate shame and prattle about in their orange paint. We adults must clean up after them.

Defend meat, defend agriculture - defend what makes us strong and free. Because meat is not just food - it's resilience, it's culture, and it's the life force we refuse to let go of.

This post is not an attack on or denigration of other ways of eating. It is conversely wished to be supported by vegetarians, vegans, pescatarians etc. - who in the same way want access to good fresh ingredients made as cheap and easy as possible, so that good health - which is the fundamental underlying mechanism that leads to a healthy population - what we must build "tomorrow" on - is put first and secured.

Good Saturday evening.
