We are not yet at the turning point, but the symptom is now so clear that anyone can see how absurd it has all become.
A physician - under oath - is asked in an official hearing whether men can become pregnant. The question is banal. The answer should take less than one second. Instead follows a verbal evasion, where biology dissolves into "context", and truth is reduced to something requiring social permission.
What we are witnessing is not ignorance.
It is discipline.
Because the physician knows what the answer is. Everyone in the room knows it. The audience knows it. You know it. I know it. The problem is simply that truth is no longer what one is rewarded for saying. One is rewarded for navigating correctly in the language of power - for demonstrating loyalty to the ideological framework rather than to reality.
And then the shift happens -
Science ceases to be a sober description of reality and becomes instead a social act, where what matters most is not truth, but the signal one sends.
When a physician no longer answers what is, but what can be said without consequences, then medicine is no longer a profession. Then it is a ritual.
As someone in a comment thread dryly observed - when truth becomes too uncomfortable, we call it empathy to remain silent... and hope no one notices the difference.
Since the dawn of time, no male mammal has carried offspring. That is not a position. That is a biological reality. REALITY! Nature has never been in dialogue with our current identity politics, and it has yet to show signs of wanting to start.
In 1922, people imagined that 2026 would be the year of flying cars. Instead it became the year when highly educated professionals under oath could no longer answer whether two sexes are biologically different.
And we are supposed to pretend it is "progress".
It is not.
It is idiocy.
Future historians will not ask how we could be wrong. They will ask why so many knew better - and still chose silence. Why truth was perceived as more dangerous than the lie. Why a society with access to more knowledge than any civilization ever before it, decided to pretend it did not exist.
When science becomes something one negotiates about, it ceases to be a bulwark against power and becomes instead an instrument of it.
And it is in that moment, when civilizations begin speaking in relativizing fog about "contexts" - there where truth was previously sufficient - that they lose their bearings.
Because what we are witnessing is not an intellectual disagreement, but a deliberate refusal to answer. It is equivalent to not being able to - no, not wanting to - say how many legs a human has, out of fear of whom the truth might offend.
One may believe that biology is fluid. But in a responsible society, there should be consequences when a physician under oath can no longer confirm basic physical realities. Not for moral reasons, but for practical ones.
Because if one's judgment is so clouded that even the most elementary becomes negotiable, one is no longer suited to safeguard other people's health.
This is the price for dissolving meaning, structure, hierarchy, order and truth through language.
And it will continue until ordinary people put their foot down and insist on taking reality back.

HAWLEY: "Well the goal is the truth, so can men get pregnant?"

HAWLEY: "This isn't hard doctor, can men get pregnant, yes or no?"
DR. VERMA: "I would be more than happy to have a conversation with you that is not coming from a place of trying to be polarized..."
