Let me give it another shot - from a different angle - something you can take into the weekend with you. 🔥
There is nothing wrong with loving your country.
Nothing wrong with feeling connected to the culture you grew out of - with the language, the way we live, the values, the ideals, the faith and the traditions we have inherited.
It is actually completely natural. Human.
Deeply, instinctively human.
That is how it has been for thousands of years.
People have always belonged to smaller communities - to families, to clans, to tribes.
Those were the ones you looked after.
Those were the ones you felt responsible for.
But at some point something new happened - and quite unique in history.
There was a man who stepped forward and shared a series of profoundly deep and civilisationally transformative ideas, which were impossible to avoid if you were seeking truth.
Out of them, one found a way to extend human care -
from only concerning the family and the tribe to encompassing something far greater.
One began to see the individual human being as sacred.
A new idea was introduced into the culture -
that we should also love our neighbour.
Not just our own tribe, but also those we are not directly connected to.
It was a REVOLUTION in the way humans thought.
And it made possible something we had never seen before -
large, stable and relatively peaceful nations, where people could live side by side with people they did not know -
because there existed a common framework, a meaning-giving narrative, and thus a common understanding that we had a duty to treat each other with dignity and care.
Love of neighbour dissolved the tribe - and replaced it with a broader belonging.
It made it possible to feel belonging to a people, a country, a society - not only to those you shared blood with.
But what was originally a strength also became, over time, a vulnerable point...
Because love of neighbour only works when it stands on something.
When it is anchored in shared values, reciprocity and boundaries.
When it rests in a structure where everyone understands what is expected. A shared faith.
But that structure - the framework that love of neighbour grew out of - has slowly been dismantled, ridiculed and attempted taken from us.
Especially over the last 50 years it has accelerated.
And that made it possible to hack the entire idea.
Where love of neighbour used to be something we gave to each other in the community - it now became something we had to give away.
Not just to strangers - but to forces, ideologies and agendas that did not wish us well.
We went from building a strong society with care and duty - to abandoning it all in the name of morality.
And it did not happen by accident.
It happened because someone discovered that love of neighbour could be used to introduce ideas and political goals... that no one would otherwise have accepted.
Because how did it become shameful to say -
'I love my own first'?
How did it become morally superior to set aside those closest to you for people you have never met?
How did we become a people who would rather save the world - than take responsibility for our own?
The answer is simple.
And yet so advanced that most do not see it:
We were hacked.
Not by code. But by ideas.
Not by weapons. But by words.
Not with violence. But with emotions.
They said, for example -
"If you are a good person, you open your heart and your home."
And who does not want to be good?
But it did not stop there.
They also said that you should be ashamed if you put your family, your country, your people first.
That it was selfish.
Petty.
Wrong.
And suddenly the idea of love of neighbour was used to break down the very community it had grown out of.
It was turned against itself.
And in the vacuum that arose - when people were no longer allowed to feel pride in what they belonged to - something else entered:
Control. Surveillance. Moral police. Political correctness.
Rules for what you may think, say and believe.
A constant pressure to signal that you are "on the right side".
That you are "one of the good ones".
Because when the natural conscience and common sense are undermined - something MUST take over to preserve order in a society.
And it became systems, legislation, social sanctions and public shaming.
They removed the inner compass - and put external control in its place. And many let it happen, because they still believed they were doing the right thing.
But when love of neighbour is severed from obligation, boundaries and community -
then it is not love anymore.
Then it just becomes a tool one can manipulate with.
Manipulate YOU with.
(Yes, I know it is uncomfortable to think about.)
Harness you to agendas you do not actually agree with.
That is how it happened.
That is how we were turned.
That is how we lost the sense of what was up and down -
because we were told, and believed, that it was love.
But it was not.
It was self-abandonment of the most important thing we had -
made to look like goodness.
And those who did it?
They knew full well what they were doing.
Because it is far easier to control a people who are ashamed of themselves.
Far easier to get votes when you promise to save the whole world.
Far easier to gain power when you make helplessness a virtue - and responsibility a violation.
If we do not rediscover the structure that genuine love of neighbour grew out of - then both the love, the culture and the freedom disappear with it.
And for many of you with money -
a country worth living in.
A place where once again they take from you, and give to everyone else, to show how good one is -
while everyone else feels good while it is being done...
It is love of neighbour, after all.
You rich pig.
Think a bit.
It is on its way.

Not certain this is the day's last post.
But if it is - then have a good weekend in the sun ☀️
Picture from this morning's daily walk with 20 kilos in the weight vest - which I walk in the firm faith and conviction that 'strength is never weakness' - which is why we must ensure to build it in all axes throughout life.
