I see many good people mismanaging their life force these years.
They direct it consistently toward what they oppose. And often without clearly knowing what should replace the existing - what they oppose.
It just has to go.
"Then everything will be much better."
A mechanism that quite naturally creates internal dissonance and dissatisfaction.
Some call themselves freedom fighters.
Others resistance movement.
Some even lightworkers.
And yes, yes. It is - or can be - fine to take a solid position. But far too often the energy gets spent spreading anger, resistance, negativity and darkness - and staring fixated at 'what is wrong'.
One says one thing. But the frequency radiates and is consistently something else entirely.
One says one is for peace and light and the good. But all that comes out is a signal of frustration, condemnation and impotent rage.
And again. Yes, there are absolutely things we should rightly stand against. Something - or much - to be frustrated about. Also in our time. But when the fight fills everything, Man loses something crucial - deeper meaning and therefore direction.
It loses its way.
Too often what happens, as in the world of identity politics - one mirrors one's entire identity in what one opposes - and completely forgets to shape what one actually wants to create.
Old wise men all over the planet have warned about this for millennia -
"Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - said Jesus
"We become what we think." - said Buddha.
"Watch your thoughts, for they become your destiny." - said Lao-Tzu.
Try to understand.
You have only ONE life force.
One well of spiritual fire you can draw from.
Each day you choose where this power should flow.
And here comes the warning -
Everything you stare at long enough takes up residence in you. If you use all your time and all your energy only staring into darkness - then it will slowly take form in your own being.
Nietzsche perhaps said it sharpest of all -
"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster... And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you."
And I tell you, wise from damage -
If you want to illuminate darkness, you must first light your inner light - work concentrated on doing what it takes to clear out inside, so you can keep it lit, undaunted, clear and without it affecting you particularly - no matter what meets you.
For if you place yourself in battle against darkness without being dressed for it, it will consume you as fire devours dry wood.
I am not against the feeling of anger, at all.
Nor against the use of anger as a conscious tool.
Anger can naturally be righteous.
Holy Wrath can awaken courage when something must be stopped.
But anger is always reactive - it lives off what it opposes. It does not create new life. It does not plant the seeds that carry the future we long for.
The deepest meaning comes from another place.
It comes in the magnetic pull toward The Good, The True, The Beautiful.
That which builds up.
That which makes whole.
That which is born of love - not only as feeling, but as conscious action.
You cannot build a healthy, strong and loving life - or family, movement or society - from resistance alone.
For if you fill yourself only with what you oppose, your entire being will be shaped by precisely that - and you will never arrive at what you actually want to live for.
And worse still. Anger can only gather people as long as there is something to burn down. When the fire has consumed its target, the flock always scatters in a thousand directions - for the common bond was not a deeper meaning, a truth or a light to follow.
The task - for you, for me, for all of us - is therefore to be a light that dissolves darkness simply by shining.
And that light only comes from a life arranged according to belief in - Truth. Freedom. Love.* First.
For what you believe will shape your choices.
Your choices will create your habits.
And your habits will form the patterns your life follows.
There exist patterns that inevitably lead to sickness, weakness, ugliness, poverty and lack - both inside and out.
And there exist patterns that inevitably lead to health, strength, beauty, prosperity and abundance.
How you manage your only life force - in your only life - determines which patterns you choose.
And here is the point -
If you direct your life force toward darkness alone, resistance becomes your nature - and darkness will sooner or later move into you.
If you direct your life force toward light, everything in and around you will grow in strength, beauty and abundance.
So choose carefully.
For it is not just a choice about what you fight against - it is a choice about who you yourself become.
And if the desire is to gather people around a new direction - around something greater, deeper and more meaningful than the existing - then there is only one way.
It requires a goal that is so true, so beautiful and so strong that people are naturally drawn toward it.
Something that shines like a lighthouse in darkness.
And anger - no matter how righteous - can never be that lighthouse.
In best intention.

* You know I would gladly have written 'God' instead of those words - but it is still too difficult a word for many to get around - so let us for now speak of it with the highest values the human spirit knows - and which it is arranged, shaped and longs for.
